12WBT day thirty eight – Farewell biscuits

We had a farewell do at work this afternoon and out came the Arnotts biscuits. I admit, I caved. Nothing else of note to say today, except I didn’t do any formal exercise, but I did go for a walk at lunch and was gone for an hour and a half (some of that time was in the shops) so while I can’t actually log the time (due to non wearing of HRM) I did do some, so I’m just putting that exercise in the back of my head as a pleasant surprise for later. Oh and on non 12WBT news, got some wicked black and silver shoes today. Shweet :) Daily stats now:

12WBT day thirty seven – Takeaway day

Today I had lunch with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. We went to a little eatery near work, and the menu was full of rich pasta dishes and crusty breads and bad bad bad food. I was a little overwhelmed because I just didn’t know what to have, so in the end I settled for a chicken salad, which came with roasted veggies. I really have no idea how many calories was in it, but I’m going to guess and say about 500 but in all honesty it could have been more, I’m just not sure :( On the bright side though, when we caught up he asked me if I’ve lost weight, because damnit, I certainly looked like I had. It was such a great feeling to know that people were noticing. :) So daily stats for today:

My 12WBT extraordinary story

Well our weekly surprise challenge this week was to do either a video blog or a post explaining why we are extraordinary. I’ve never really thought of myself as extraordinary before, quite the opposite in fact, but I tried to put some coherent thoughts together and wrote it all down, when I thought hmmm why not try a video blog, I mean I write on here all the time, let’s do something new. So voila – here we have it, my first ever video post, explaining why I am extraordinary. It’s a bit of a shocker. It’s just me. I was going to do a whole practice run first, and then go and do my hair, put on some makeup and gussy myself up, but I thought that was a bit silly – I mean, this is me, this is what people see every day, so why pretend to be something else? Oh and there is also a guest appearance by our cat Maximus Catticus. He’s just got to be in the action. Seriously dude!

12WBT day thirty five – Feels like starting again

After being on holidays and then being sick all last week, today felt like I was starting the 12 week challenge all over again. Back were the hunger pains, back was my continuous thinking about food and back was my obsessing about food and exercise. The weird thing is, while I was away on holidays and while I was sick, I wasn’t even hungry, I would eat my breakfast and that was it, there was no more thought about food until sometime in the afternoon when I would think it’s time for lunch. But now that I’m back at work, in the humdrum that is work life, I’m thinking all about food again. This isn’t a good thing. However, life goes on and I’m just happy that I got through the day and stuck within my calories and thought about doing exercise. Okay I didn’t do any, but I thought about it – a good start lol.
