Christmas is still cancelled

Today has been a shit day. The dramas that started yesterday have just intensified to the point where I can’t think about anything else and don’t quite care about much. I have nothing more to post. Here’s hoping now that tomorrow is better.

I know the feeling. Two years ago my son went through a horrible divorce and we lost a lot of Christmas’s in the mean time the the grandkids. Find a book or just sit in a window and look out was my theory. It passes but not easy to get over. Hang in there. Chris

I saw your post on the Quilters Blog roll and had to respond – especially when I realized that you have the same birthday as my own beloved daughter (‘tho she was born in ’81:).

I don’t have any idea what your relationship with your mother is like or why her absence distresses you so much … but … there is nothing wrong with skipping Xmas, IF you WANT to – not just because you think you need to vanish. 🙂 Enjoying the day/season for yourself, moment by moment, can be enough – even if you don’t get to share it. Love yourself FIRST.

Stuff I”d tell my own daughter, anyway. Hugs coming your way across the wide, wide planet. You ARE special, even if you don’t know it.

    🙂 Linda
