Dem good and bad apples

I received an email today from Mrs Loudmouth (so need to find a new name for her, because she’s not like that at all, but her partner, well he is.  Anyhoo….) so I got an email from her today and it was one of those nice things that you’re supposed to forward onto everyone blah blah blah.  But I was reading it and I thought it was nice.  Because it kinda sums up how I feel a lot of the time – like something is wrong with me, so I’m posting it here for you all to read:

“Women are like apples on trees.  The best ones are at the top of the tree.  Most men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.  Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy.  The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they’re amazing.  They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.”

Admittedly it doesn’t end there, it continues on about men, but for now I will just leave it at that.  So to all you women and girls out there who thinks there is something wrong with you because you’re single (maybe it’s just me), stop thinking that, cos I have now decided that we are all sitting pretty up the top of that tree, waiting for those brave men.  (Now if they could only hurry up….)

Okay so you really want to know what it continues on with for the men?  Go on then – “Now men… men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it’s up to women to stomp the shit out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.” And I don’t necessarily disagree with that, to a point.

It is such a good little thought isn’t it. (Especially the men bit lol).

Thanks for the nice words about my weight loss. It’s nice to see it mostly coming off with just those couple of gains. If I could really stay fixed and motivated I just keep thinking I could do so much better. But still I’m doing better than I was. Which is always a good thing.
