A year of new beginnings

So last year was pretty crap!  Well actually not all of it, there were some good times and there were a lot of bad times, so last year was pretty much a rollercoaster year, with me not quite sure how to feel and how to deal with things from one day to another.  This year is going to be different.  I’m in so much a better frame of mind this year, and feeling positive about everything to come.

So lets re-cap on the last couple of months.  Mr Driller and I supposedly ended things.  Well we are still on, we are still off, we are “complicated”, that’s what I’m calling my Mr Driller – My Complication.  I love him so much, and that in iteself is a very hard thing for me to actually admit.  I think its only about the 3rd time I’ve said it outloud, but probably only the first time I’ve actually written it.  Not that I have told him, and I probably won’t, because things are so “complicated” with us.  So not a lot has changed there.

My job lecturing full time has come to an end.  We closed down our Multimedia unit at work, so as I was only contract staff I was no longer needed in a full time lecturing role.  I am still able to deliver some short part time courses, but I’ve decided to be slack this term and do no teaching and no night work.  I’m loving it, though I will be going back to it next term.  So now I’m back to my original position from a few years ago, doing a lot of admin work.  It’s pretty brain dead boring mind numbing work, but it pays the bills and allows me to save some money up while not stressing myself out, so all round, I can’t complain too much.  At the end of the day, I still have a job and am thankful of that.

So onto this year – my exciting news for the year is that I’m going to Denmark in June and July.  5 weeks of no work and not being at home, but getting away from everything.  I can’t wait.  I have the most fantastic uncle and aunt who live over there and because it’s my cousins 40th birthday (a pretty big deal for him apparently) they are paying for me to come over to see them.  So as of a couple of weeks ago, they are pretty much officially my favourite people in the world now!!!  So right now that’s what I’m up to.  I’m planning places to go and see in Denmark, and trying to organise a side trip to UK for a week to catch up with Miss English and Mr Muscles.  And saving, so I don’t really have much of a life because all my money has to go into the bank.  It’s killing me lol.

There is definately a lot more to say, and so much more to say about my trip away, but I have to leave it there for now, can’t say everything in one post.  But I shall be back, it’s great to be back.  And a big hello and thank you to Mervi xoxoxo I have been reading your comments, I have just been – slack……  But I’m backkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!
